About me
I'm an Instructional Aide with ArtWorks, a program in the College of Medicine that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). I supervise a studio with 3-5 to artists. I help artists design and realize art projects, including major pieces for gallery exhibits. I also support artists in building confidence and life skills. Check out ArtWorks' Facebook page!In my other role, I work as a Research Technician at the Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology (BARA). I am on two projects: a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that's assessing the effectiveness of smoke alarms and other safety hardware, & a program evaluation component for a grant from the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona (CFB) to a local partner.In May 2021, I graduated Summa Cum Laude, with Honors, from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Anthropology and Religious Studies. I minored in Spanish. I am planning to pursue a Master of Arts in journalism starting in the fall of 2024.In my free time, I read an amazing web serial, The Wandering Inn, play the card game, Magic: The Gathering (commander is my favorite format), and learn French and Korean on Duolingo.
